Previous Arsenal coach, Arsene Wenger, has cautioned Paris Saint-Germain that Lionel Messi would compromise the equilibrium of their group on the off chance that he joins from Barcelona.
Messi has been connected with the Ligue 1 heroes and Manchester City subsequent to neglecting to design a move away from Camp Nou the previous summer.
The 33-year-old is expected to leave when his contract expires at the end of the campaign.
With PSG already possessing Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, Wenger wonders whether there is truly a need for Messi at the Parc des Princes.
“Lionel Messi is one of the two best players in the world. Those who will replace Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi are already at PSG,” Wenger told Europe 1.
“From that point forward, it’s an issue of equilibrium in the club, a specialized equilibrium and a monetary equilibrium.
“Would you be able to keep the equilibrium at PSG by acquiring players like Messi? I don’t know.”
