Police affirm kidnapping of Taraba Assembly Minority Leader

The Police have affirmed the snatching of a Taraba administrator, Bashir Mohammed.

He speaks to Nguroje Constituency in the House of Assembly.

Mohammed, the Minority Leader, was grabbed on Wednesday morning from his living arrangement in Jalingo.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, DSP David Misal, told NAN that the captive was seized after sporadic gunshots.

His house is located next to the Comprehensive Secondary School, Jalingo.

Misal confirmed that the police and other security agencies were making efforts to rescue Mohammed.

The abductors are yet to make any contact with the family.

Bashir is the second Assembly part grabbed as of late.

In December 2017, Hosea Ibi, Takum I Constituency agent, was grabbed and murdered.
