The Monetary and Budgetary Wrongdoings Commission (EFCC) has affirmed that there were endeavors to penetrate its site.
Anonymous, a legion of hackers, had claimed responsibility for hitting the agency’s internet platform.
The group also tempered with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) website and threatened to target more.
The anonymous group say their actions are in support of the End SARS protests in the country.
EFCC, however, assured that its website was not hacked.
On Monday, Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC Head of Media, noticed that the trade off endeavors were recorded throughout the end of the week.
The representative accused “cybercriminals” for a close to penetrate of its security.
Uwujaren said the endeavors were effectively repulsed and that the site “is fully operational”.
