Requirements for Foundation for Community Association Research Masters Scholarship Qualification

• The Foundation for Community Association Research offers Byron Hanke Fellowship to graduate students in topics related to community associations.
• The candidates applying for Byron Hanke Fellowship 2022 should be enrolled in a master’s, doctoral, or law program at an accredited institution or university in the US or Canada.
• The graduate students from any field are eligible provided their studies should relate to community associations and to the candidate’s proposed research topic.
• The applicants for Byron Hanke Fellowship 2022 should prepare a research paper on one of the following topics.
  • Financial Crisis: Community Associations in Lien Priority, Insolvency, or Foreclosure
  • How Community Associations respond to aging infrastructure and aging residents
  • Evaluating the impact of short-term rentals (like Airbnb) on Community Associations
  • Quantifying how Community Associations impact home values and resale activity
  • How Community Associations manage risks related to technology use and data collection
  • Trends in Community Association efforts to conserve resources and protect the environment
  • The research papers should be on the scale of a doctoral dissertation, a law review quality article, or a master’s thesis and should benefit the foundation.
  • The candidates should be approved by the full-time faculty member or graduate student’s general academic advisor.
  • The applicants should submit a research proposal, names and contact details of three referees, and a writing sample in 5 to 20 pages.
