Previous Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has hammered the President, Significant General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), over his inability to show up before the Place of Agents on Thursday.
As per Fayose, the President gave the indication of ‘a tyrant’ by evading the greeting stretched out to him by the administrative arm of government over the uncertainty challenges in the nation.
“I said it on December 1, that President Buhari won’t honour the House of Reps’ invitation on the worsening security situation in the country. Truly he didn’t.
“With a democratically elected President who does not have regard for other arms of government, how else do you describe a dictator?” The ex-Ekiti State governor wrote on Twitter today.
He added that those who supported Buhari’s ascension to power in 2015 should “publicly apologise for misleading Nigerians”.
Yawanews had earlier reported that the House of Representatives led by the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, last week, invited Buhari over the rising insecurity and the killing of over 43 farmers by Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State.
An assistant to the President, Lauretta Onochie, had additionally uncovered that Buhari would show up
prior to a joint meeting of the Public Gathering on Thursday. Be that as it may, reports started
to channel in on Tuesday that the President had chosen not to go to the gathering any more.
