In the midst of the designs to get cash to finance the 2022 financial plan shortfall, President Muhammadu Buhari and his helpers are set to burn through N301m on food item and catering materials as planned by the Administration.
VP Yemi Osinbajo and his assistants would likewise burn through N157m on food item and cooking materials totalling N458m for the two workplaces.
In the budget estimates submitted to a joint session of the National Assembly last week Thursday, the Presidency has proposed N5.23bn for the annual general maintenance of the Presidential Villa.
A careful study of the 2022 budget revealed that the Presidency will spend N5.2bn on rehabilitation/repair of office buildings, while the residential buildings will take N55m out of the N150bn expected to be spent.
The breakdown of the Appropriation bill showed that the ongoing construction of the presidential wing in the State House Medical Centre is expected to gulp N21bn.
According to the estimate, the ongoing phased replacement of vehicles and spares will cost N1.6bn compared to the N436m set aside for a similar purpose in the 2021 proposal.
The Presidency will spend about N180m to buy tyres for bulletproof vehicles, plain cars, CCU vehicles, platform trucks, jeeps, ambulances and other utility and operational vehicles, compared to N116m spent last year.
The substitution of Estate telecommunication foundation will take N400m.
